    An international figure skating camp organized by Jorik Hendrickx. This year in Deurne (Antwerp) Belgium. Jorik will be assisted by a professional team of coaches. Bootcamp On Ice offers opportunities for skaters of all levels!

    Head coach & organiser:

    For years, Jorik skated at the highest level, participating in no less than 7 European and 5 World Championships. A 4th place in 2017 during the European Championship is perhaps his most successful result. Two appearances at the Olympic Winter Games, Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018, also make him an experienced Olympian.

    After ending his active career as a figure skater, he transitioned to coaching. Jorik is enormously passionate and motivated in imparting knowledge and experience to other skaters. Currently, he is the head coach of his sister, Loena Hendrickx. Jorik successfully guided her to the European title of 2024! A silver medal in 2022 and a bronze medal in 2023 at the World Championships.

    With his camps, Jorik aims to inspire other figure skaters and help them achieve their goals. Jorik will be present during all weeks.

    Adam Solya

    Adam Solya

    Skating skills - Choreographer:

    Adam Solya is a renowned dancer and choreographer, known for his unique blend of classical ballet and modern movements. With experience in theater and musicals, Adam specializes in interpreting music and developing athletes' skating styles. As the regular choreographer of Loena Hendrickx and working with international top athletes, including skaters from Alexei Mishin's team, Adam brings his expertise to the camp.

    Marina Shirshova

    Marina Shirshova

    Marina has had a dynamic career in figure skating spanning 15 years, refining her skills and passion for the sport. After retiring from her athletic career, she pursued further education at the renowned Lesgaft Academy of Physical Culture and Sport under the guidance of Professor Mishin, resulting in the successful defense of her diploma.

    Transitioning from athlete to artist, Marina spent six fulfilling years as a performer in the Leningrad State Ice Ballet, continuing to immerse herself in the world of figure skating.

    Since 1996, Marina has had the opportunity to work as a figure skating coach in Finland. There, she proudly trained 12 talented individuals who advanced to the Finnish national team. They have achieved fantastic results, including winning multiple championship titles in Finland, and participating in both the Junior and Senior World Championships.

    Agnes Zawadzki

    Agnes Zawadzki

    Agnes Zawadzki is a former elite figure skater that represented the USA, with an impressive career that includes being a two-time World Junior medalist, two-time U.S. Bronze medalist, and a Grand Prix medalist. With a wealth of experience from competing at the highest levels of the sport, Agnes is passionate about passing on the invaluable knowledge and skills she has gained through working with top-tier coaches and training at an elite level. She is dedicated to helping the next generation of skaters elevate their abilities, emphasizing technique, performance, and mental toughness. Agnes's approachable and supportive coaching style inspires athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the ice.

    Silvie de Rijcke

    Silvie de Rijcke

    Silvie de Rijcke is the former coach of Belgian top skaters, as Kevin Van der Perren, Ira Vannut, Ruben Blommaert, Kaat Van Daele. She participated with her students in many high-level competitions and succeeded in winning a bronze medal on Europeans 2009 with Kevin Van der Perren and different high-level results with Ira Vannut, who became the first lady for Belgium to win a medal in junior grand prix.

    Lisa Van Genck

    After ending her own competitive career, Lisa has been active as a coach since 2020. With her energy and dedication, she helps young skaters develop their talent and reach their full potential. In addition to her passion for coaching, Lisa also has a strong academic background. She holds a master’s degree in Sports Management and a master’s degree in physical education, giving her in-depth knowledge of both the physical and strategic aspects of the sport.

    Levels

    Diamond Level
    • Double Axel and all Triple Jumps.
    Gold Level
    • For skaters mastering Single Axel and working on all Double Jumps.
    • Daily:
      • 3 ice sessions
      • 1 off-ice session
    • Price per week: € 595,-

    Silver Level
    • For skaters working on all single jumps, including the single axel. Mastery of at least three single jumps is required to participate at this level, along with proficiency in all basic techniques such as forward and backward crossovers, inside and outside edges, and three-turns. Consult your coach if you are unsure about these elements.
    • Beginners, recreational skaters, and adults are welcome. However, groups are divided based on skill level rather than just age at all levels.
    • Daily:
      • 2 on-ice training sessions
      • 1 off-ice training session

    Private & choreography

    Dynamic group lessons with educational exercises to improve jumps, spins, and steps are the focus. Private lessons and choreography can be booked after registration is closed. We will send the options for each week prior to the camp. Our focus during the camp is on group lessons, limiting the availability for private lessons.

    Registration and Cancellation Policy – Bootcamp by Jorik Hendrickx
    By registering, you agree to the following registration and cancellation terms:

    • Your registration is only confirmed once the deposit has been received.
    • Cancellations must be made via email; the cancellation date is determined by the date the email is received.
    • For cancellations made up to 60 days before the camp, an administrative fee of €50 will be charged.
    • For cancellations made less than 60 days before the camp, the deposit is non-refundable.
    • For cancellations made less than 30 days before the camp, the full camp fee is due, and no refund will be issued.
    • The organizer will not issue refunds if the participant becomes injured or ill. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel or health insurance to cover such situations.
    • Participation in Bootcamp On Ice by Jorik Hendrickx is at the participant's own risk. It is the participant's responsibility to have adequate travel or health insurance.
    • Video recording of training sessions during the Camp is strictly prohibited. If you need to film programs or training, please contact the Coaching team.

    Accommodation

    We would like to inform you that our skating camp does not provide accommodation. We recommend finding suitable lodging near our locations via Booking.com and Airbnb. Additionally, we have included some suggestions on our website to help you find appropriate accommodation. These accommodations are located in the center of Antwerp and are easily accessible by public transport. From the city center, you can take tram 10 towards Wijnegem. Get off at the Ruggeveld stop, which is within walking distance of Sportoase Groot Schijn. The travel time is approximately 20 to 25 minutes, depending on your departure point.
